A Computer is an electronic device which accepts data through input devices, processes it through central processing unit (CPU) and provides information through output devices. Computer System is made up of many components which works together in co-ordination.Input Devices
Instructions are provided to CPU through input devices. Some of the input devices are mouse, keyboard, scanner, and joystick etc., . Data or program's are entered into the computer system through these input devices. Input devices accept data from us and process it through CPU. The most important input device is keyword which takes words, figures and commands from the operator. The other important input device is mouse which selects an option menu from screen. There are some other input devices also such as scanner, joy stick microphone, track pen etc.Central Processing Unit (CPU)
Central Processing Unit (CPU) processes the data in a computer as per the instruction given by the user. It interprets and implements software instructions, perform calculations and comparisons, makes logical decisions, temporarily stores information, keeps track of the current step in the execution of the program and allows the CPU to communicate with the rest of the computer. The Central Processing Unit is also know as the "brain of the computer". The CPU processes data taken from necessary storage device such as Pen Drive, hard disk, CD-ROM, etc.
